Andy Head grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, where he taught himself how to juggle after watching a juggler on Bozo’s Circus (WGN-TV). Later in college Andy joined The Triton Troupers Circus where he learned new juggling tricks, meet people in show biz, and gained much valuable experience. Another huge influence on Andy’s early juggling career was The International Juggler’s Association...
After attending four IJA juggling conventions, Andy got his act together and entered the International Juggler's Association U.S. Nationals Juggling competition. With a juggling style that’s “fun to watch” (Juggler’s World Magazine), Andy won the Championship in 1985 and then again in 1991. He was also awarded the prestigious IJA Founders Award, which is given to the Juggler who’s act best reflects the spirit of Vaudeville entertainment.
As a kid, Andy loved watching The Ed Sullivan Show. Little did he know he would perform on that same stage years later as a special guest of The Late Show with David Letterman. The experience could be summed up as - cold theater, warm reception.
For over 30 years, Andy has been performing at big and small events - internationally, nationally and locally - everything from Festivals to Cruise Ships. Andy’s favorite type of gig, and the ones he’s most proud of, are the 100’s of Chicago area Schools, Libraries, Festivals, and Community Events.
